This particular Pixelation got the edge-to-edge treatment and was inspired by plaid, particularly that of Carnegie Mellon from where my sister graduated the year this was painted. The edging of the pixels lends this painting a whimsical edge, though its intent was really to paint the pixels in a more realistic light (but really, how realistic do I get?
