Tuesday Night Ritual
Tuesday Night Ritual
(viewed 772 times)“Schwag Tuesdays”, “Tuesday Nights”, Ciceros, “Tuesday Show”, everybody had a different name for it, and everyone was there. We drank, met, caught up, went outside, went elsewhere, came back, and last but not least, caught a load of kind tunes off the Schwag stage, mainly of Grateful Dead flavor but also of Dylan, Cash, Allman Brothers and even a little Outkast. “Kind Tuesdays” at Ciceros lasted from 2003 to 2005 and began migrating venues after such. This work was painted from 2003 and was not finished until 2009, after the difficulties of these years moved aside and allowed the light of these memories to overtake the fog. In short, this painting as a work in progress has lasted for the duration of my professional career.
Many of the personalities depicted in the painting are real people, some having as many as three identities. Some real acquaintances are represented more than once. In truth many of the identities are fogged to prevent being singled out as one particular personality. Just having attended Kind Tuesdays, a person has been everyone depicted here. Though many people have come and left Kind Tuesdays, including members of the band, this painting is a celebration of “the good ol’ days” while the show was held at Cicero’s on the Delmar Loop. Do you see yourself in Tuesday Night Ritual?

Excited to announce a brand new conceptual art form founded in both my desk and painting studio: Twitterscapes.
They are still around and among us - Ancients - their stories are still told by incomplete and inconclusive clues that have been left ..
Extreme sheep art? well - yeah its been done. But would you call it Art?
My latest scheme to get ahead has only landed me the facing of my biggest, longest standing fear.
I'm going to make my first paces into the world of Generative Art soon, hopefully with a world other than my own to work with.

A lot of people expect me to root for a single-payer healthcare system. I don't.
This week's ABQ Web Geeks' gathering at the Blackbird Buvette had us all a-#twitter.
..well actually US time. Me and the website. All day
